Rodney Fanner
U.S. Navy Veteran & Researcher
Rodney Fanner is a U.S. Navy Veteran currently pursuing his doctoral degree. His graduate research concentrates on improving economically challenged communities that are frequently underserved. While conventional sustainability initiatives often prioritize physical infrastructure, Mr. Fanner's approach distinctively incorporates human factors. Specifically, his data gathering efforts focus on identifying individuals dissatisfied with their current economic status who are seeking alternative opportunities. He aims to replicate these research efforts both domestically and internationally.
Rodney Fanner's research directly supports GRT Cares' mission by addressing the often-overlooked trauma associated with economic hardship and systemic neglect in challenged communities. By focusing on the 'human aspects' and identifying individuals seeking alternatives to debilitating economic circumstances, his work helps pinpoint pathways toward empowerment and improved well-being, which are crucial components of healing from the trauma of poverty and instability.
